If you are limiting your search to the local area, sometimes the best way to find advertisements is to go directly to a company's website and search their career listings. You can find a list of the largest employers in Central Florida here.

A great way to search career-specific jobs is to hunt through the job postings at professional associations. This guide from UC Berkeley links to many such sites.
USAJOBS (Federal government)
This website collects jobs working for the federal government.
PeopleFirst (Florida government jobs)
State government jobs for Florida.
Monster.com
Appropriately named. This one really is a monster, and has a ton of jobs, but it should only be a tiny part of your search. You will generally do better through networking or profession-specific job sites.
CareerBuilder
CareerBuilder is jointly owned by three large newspaper corporations (The Tribune, Gannett, and McClatchy). As such, it usually duplicates the classified advertisements from print newspapers.
Large Employers in the Central Florida area
One of the best ways to search for a job is to go straight to a company's website. For example, a company like Loockhead Martin will always have a prominent link for Careers that will have current listings.

Preparing for an Interview

If you are interviewing with a large company like Disney or Darden, you can easily find articles published about their activities and initiatives. Search a database such as ABI-Inform or Business Source Complete for such articles.

If you are interviewing with a small company, the odds are poor they will have generated articles in national or even local publications. In such a case, the best thing to do is research the industry so you can carry on an intelligent discussion about trends and issues relevant to the company.
