Located on the main (2nd) floor of Olin Library near the Lakeview Lounge, the TWC is staffed by content tutors and writing consultants who are undergraduate and graduate students at Rollins. These peer tutors are trained to provide responsive, individualized instruction on a wide range of academic subjects, projects, and assignments and are dedicated to helping you learn and achieve your academic goals.
Peer tutors are available within these time ranges by appointment:
Sunday
11 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Monday - Thursday
8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
We offer in-person tutoring appointments in the Tutoring and Writing Center in Olin Library and virtual, synchronous appointments via Microsoft Teams!
In partnership with the Chemistry, Biology, and Physics departments, we support drop-in peer tutoring in the STEM hub, located on the first floor of Bush Science Center.
We know it can be intimidating to ask for help, particularly if you've never met with a peer tutor before. Our peer tutors are dedicated to supporting your learning experience. Whether you feel you are struggling in a particular academic subject, or you simply want to understand your own learning and writing processes better, our peer tutors are here to offer you meaningful, productive feedback.
And all of our services are completely free to use!
Academic Skills Tutoring: gain skills for your academic courses.
Content Tutoring: learn concepts and skills for specific courses.
Writing consultations: learn to draft, revise, and generate ideas for any type of writing you may be working on (and at any stage in your writing process).
Please keep in mind that our tutors are not permitted to edit or correct your work for you. We are not an editing service or a homework check service; rather, we work with you to help you achieve your academic and intellectual goals.
