Located on the second (main) floor of Olin Library, the TWC is staffed by peer content tutors and writing consultants who are undergraduate and graduate students at Rollins. Our peer tutors are trained to provide responsive, individualized instruction on a wide range of academic subjects, projects, and assignments and are dedicated to helping you learn and achieve your academic goals.
Peer tutors are available within these time ranges by appointment:
Sunday
11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Monday - Thursday
9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
We offer tutoring appointments in the Tutoring & Writing Center in Olin Library for content tutoring, writing consultations, and academic skills support.
In partnership with the Chemistry, Biology, and Physics departments, we support drop-in peer tutoring in the STEM hub, located on the first floor of Bush Science Center.
We know it can be intimidating to ask for help, particularly if you've never met with a tutor before. Our peer tutors are dedicated to supporting your learning experience and offer meaningful, productive feedback, whether you feel you are struggling in a particular academic subject or simply want to understand your own learning and writing processes better.
And all of our services are completely free to use!
Academic Skills Tutoring: gain skills for your academic courses.
Content Tutoring: learn concepts and skills for specific courses.
Writing Consultations: learn to draft, revise, and generate ideas for any type of writing you may be working on (and at any stage in your writing process)
Please keep in mind that our tutors are not permitted to edit or correct your work for you. We are not an editing service or a homework check service; rather, we work with you to help you achieve your academic and intellectual goals.
If you're unsure which type of tutoring aligns with your needs the most, fill out the short quiz below to guide you in the right direction.
