The Olin Library offers several technology services for all current students, faculty, and staff, including open lab spaces, equipment borrowing, printing, and more.
The library features three computer labs: two administered by the Information Technology department and one administered by the library. These computers have direct black/white and color printing access and can print to printers throughout the building.
These rooms can be reserved through the Rollins Scheduling and Event Services Virtual EMS.
This space contains a bank of 13 computers on the 2nd floor, which cannot be reserved.
The Olin Library has a collection of materials on microform. These materials can be read, saved as multiple file formats (including .jpg, .png, .pdf), and printed via our microform reader and workstation located on the first floor of the library, right in front of the Grover Room. Priority use of this space and the computer is for patrons using the microform reader.
The microform is kept on the first floor in the microform area and in the Archives. If you need help finding or using these materials, library employees are here to assist you.
Please note that any documents saved to the microform computer will be deleted by our security software when you log off. Make sure to save your scans to a flash drive, an external source, a cloud service, or you can email them directly to yourself.
Print requests sent from the microform room are sent to the research support area printer on the second floor. You will need to release your print job from the laptop release station as usual.
The Olin library has several options available for digital signage in the building. If you would like to promote your campus organization or event, contact our Digital Services Specialist for more information.
The library has one movable SMARTboard, located in the Children's Education Area on the third floor. It is available for use by Rollins College faculty, staff, and students. The SMARTboard can be reserved by reserving Room 319 in Olin Library through EMS.
If you would like to learn more about pedagogical uses with the SMARTboard, you can meet with a librarian or book a consultation with an Instructional Technologist.
The library has several multi-use rooms with a variety of technology services.
