The library is undergoing construction for exterior maintenance with an expected project completion summer 2025. During this time, only the main entrance and ADA ramp will remain open. The after-hours book drop will be offline until further notice.
The library will be closed Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. We will resume with our summer hours the following day.

Find Journals, Magazines, & Newspapers

If you are looking for articles in a specific journal or other serial publication, the Olin Library might have access to it through one of our many databases, through a direct link to the publisher, as a paper copy on the shelf, or in our microform collection.

Looking for a specific journal?

Popular Magazines with Flipster

Flipster is a digital newsstand with on-demand and free access to best-selling magazines, such as The Atlantic, Time, National Geographic, and more. You can download and read the latest publication issues on your computer or on the go. Articles are also available through R-Search.

Scholarly Journals through Browzine

Browzine is a service that allows users to browse, monitor, and read new articles and issues from their favorite scholarly journals directly on their mobile devices. Search for journals available through Rollins access or Open Access and create a personalized virtual bookshelf that updates when new journal issues are released.

The mobile app is installed on the iPads available for checkout at the library.

Selected Newspapers

Rollins College maintains online subscriptions to local and national news media outlets for all faculty, staff, and students through R-Search and the A-Z Database List, including:

Set Email Alerts for Newspaper Topics

Through Access World News, you can even set up email alerts on an issue or topic by searching a topic that interests you, clicking Create Alert on the results page and inputting your @rollins.edu email.

If you are accessing a database from off campus, you will be prompted to log in through our proxy server with your FoxID and password.

Evaluating Citations with Scopus

Scopus offers author and institution profiles, showcasing detailed publication and citation data, and includes tools for evaluating research impact, such as:

  • CiteScore: Measures average citations per article over 4 years.
  • SJR (SCImago Journal Rank): Weighs quality of citing sources.
