How to R-Search Ebooks

R-Searching for ebooks can be done in three easy steps. After searching for either a title, a subject, or an author, refine your results on the left-hand side:

  1. Under Availability, select Full Text Online.
  2. Under Resource Type, select Books.
  3. Select Apply Filters to refine your search to only ebooks.

Ebooks Benefits

Reading ebooks enables:

  • access from any location with an internet connection,
  • accessibility features that include adjusting to your preferred font size and read-aloud features,
• direct printing and email-sharing options,
  • flexibility to read online with your browser or download for offline reading.

Some ebooks include a linked Table of Contents and searchable text. Search for keywords using "control F" on PC, "command-F" on Mac, or the ebook's search box to get a good sense of the content as it relates to your research interests. Guidelines for downloading and printing vary by publisher.

Note: Kindle devices and the Kindle app are not supported at this time, and we do not purchase Kindle ebooks.
