The Olin Library is offering a grant opportunity to provide students with no-cost textbook options. Participating instructors will be offered a $150 stipend to recognize their work in implementing affordable textbook solutions in their courses. In addition to the stipend, the library will acquire loanable textbooks in affordable formats for all enrolled students in the course.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, with two review periods annually: July 1st and November 1st.

Proposals will be reviewed by Olin Library’s OER Group, considering factors such as the number of students impacted, the long-term use of the textbooks, the availability of storage space, purchase availability, and the potential to use affordable formats such as previous editions or digital copies. The application will be graded and awarded based on the Textbook Affordability Grant Evaluation Rubric.
