The Olin Library Unofficial Guide to Paranormal Research

October 26, 2023

The ghost tour of the Annie Russell Theatre and Knowles Chapel produced some interesting results.

  • The magnetometer spiked +5 over the baseline at Annie's portrait and about the same amount at her chair.  The EMF reader spiked by about 16 Hz at her chair.
  • The EMF readers spiked near a piece of art on the west wall of the green room of the theatre.
  • The magnetometer spiked almost +10 over the baseline at a spot in the basement.
  • The SLS camera detected a shifting, invisible figure somewhere between the back of the theatre and the stage when the camera was pointed at an alcove at stage right (see attached video below).
  • In the chapel there were increased EMF and magnetometer readings around the organ, which was thought to be a focal point for ghost activity.  The magnetometer dropped around -15 points below baseline at the center of the altar area.
  • Two tour participants reported ghostly music coming from the chapel after midnight when the building was empty, as if a phantom presence was playing the organ and piano.  One witness recorded the haunting melody but all of her attempts to identify the song have been unsuccessful.
