R-Search User Guide

This is a guide for using the library's Primo interface, sometimes known as R-Search or the library catalog. This system allows you to search nearly all of our resources in print and online.

What is R-Search?

R-Search is the library's search service that allows you to search almost all of the library's resources simultaneously.  The system allows you to search for print items (like books and DVDs) and online items (such as articles and streaming video).

Rollins users have additional features available to them.  If you log into your account you can see when your checked out items are due and renew them, and you can save articles to read later.

You might have used a similar system like this at another library and heard it referred to as a "catalog."  R-Search uses the Primo interface and the records in it come from a system called Alma, both of which are made by ExLibris, a ProQuest company.

Where to find R-Search

You can get to R-Search by opening any browser and going to https://primo.rollins.edu/.

You can also find it on the library website and on many of our LibGuides in the form of an embedded search box:

In most cases any of these routes will search the same catalog of items, so use whichever is most convenient for you.
