This guide highlights collections and open access resources related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and sustainability in general.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The General Assembly, meeting at the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit held in 2015, adopted resolution 70/1, "Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development".

The Sustainable Development Goals are designed to stimulate action around 17 goals, listed below. These goals are of critical importance for humanity and the planet.

How Libraries Contribute

Access to information is essential for the welfare of society. Open access to information increases innovation, illuminates inequities, and increases public trust in science and is essential for achievement of the SDGs. The resources below highlight a small sampling of library contributions to the SDGs.
