Infographics are visual representations of data or other information. They can communicate information quickly and clearly, highlighting scope, comparisons, and progressions. Infographics can be statistical-based, chronological timelines, process-based, geographically structured, or present information in a myriad of others ways. Many tools for creating infographics are available on the Web. Good tools for finding data to present in infographics can be found on the Data & Statistics guide.

A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks or other items linked to and arranged radially around a central key word or idea. Free mindmapping tools are available on the web, and mindmapping capabilities are included in many broader Infographics tools.
