APA Style Help

APA (American Psychological Association) style is the most commonly used citation style in business, economics, social entrepreneurship, and related disciplines. However, please check with your instructor for their preferred citation style before using APA style in your own work. Below are some resources to get you started with APA style.

APA Manual

Available in print at the library.

Managing Your Citations

A common problem of students writing research papers is that they have lots of books, websites, and PDFs of articles and no real way to keep track of all these things in one place. This is why there are citation management systems (CMSes). CMSes are designed to help you keep track of citations and PDFs. Two good, free CMSes are NoodleTools and Zotero. The links to access these resources are below. If you have any questions about using this software, please contact your librarian, whose contact information is on the right side of this page.

Citation Generators

Citation generator websites are interactive tool to help create reference citations for research papers. With these websites, simply select the citation style and the type of resource (book, article, webpage, etc.), and fill-in the required fields. Your citation will then be created for you, which you can copy and paste into your Reference/Bibliography page.
